3) soil type, soil bacteria, and soil water
4) insects, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen in the air

Which term includes all of the interactions that occur between the organisms and the physical factors in a pond environment?

1) population
2) ecosystem
3) abiotic
4) competiton

The amount of salt in the air and water of coastal areas determines which species can exist there. In these areas, salt functions as a

Thank you Yahoo for giving us our own Catagory?

March 3rd, 2009
byderule asked:

for 2 months i have been asking if we in Environment & Ecology could have our own catagory ,and not be hidden under Mathmatics

,I even wrote to Al Gore ,and to Jane ,and made several sugestions in the forum

2 hours Ago it happened ,
three cheers for Yahoo

does any one else think this is great
(now its a question)
Chrissie ask a question but does not have any way for people to answer her ,Ecology is a blend of Greek and latin meaning the study or the knowledge of the home (environment)
so Environment is the place and Ecology is the knowledge of the place ,In essence both mean the same thing ,but for those who have a problem with that we have already ASKED YAHOO IF THEY CAN INCLUDE THE NAME ECOLOGY WITH ENVIRONMENT again

Why should a person on any subcategory top ten list try hard to advance if his best answers won’t be counted?

February 3rd, 2009
Professor Armitage asked:

Because of a computer glitch or bug in yahoo answers? For example, say he is eighth in environment and ecology and just wants to dig himself in to the eighth spot. Why should he try so hard to get best answers in there? Because he hopes they’ll fix the bug soon so it’ll be worthwhile? Or just because it is fun and no other reason? Or because he is still learning so much while researching the answers? Why?
