I want to study animals and their environment. What career should I consider?

I want to travel to study animals.
Or even just do photography. Like for magazines.
Or videos for science programs or documentaries.

What careers should I consider?
And what education would I need?

I’m thinking zoology/biology or ecology. And photography, journalism, or some type of visual media.

I have a real passion for the environment and animals. For the longest time I’ve tried so hard to find a career that would do some good for the world. I just finished an ecology course and I loved it. I found it interesting and I understood it. I also just scored 99% on my test and I didn’t study at all. Usually I have to study a lot to get that kind of mark. My question is what are some careers that involve ecology?
